why replace the entire distributor when you can replace the ignitor and the coil for cheaper? something that Desert, other mechanics and my own father has taught Keep it SIMPLE and start small.

why replace the dist well for one the ignitor is$122.59at our localnapa autoparts store and the dist king on Ebay has an entire NEW dist for $109 to my door not to mention the dist had slop in bushing as well and they are prone to problems hense the recall notice I read about yrs ago when the cars were new .. btw a new dist from napa is $271 rebuilt is $204 and they dont come with cap or roter this one was complete.
but anyway back to the update got new dist from from Distributor King on ebay and works like a charm so you do the math..
Thanks again for all the helpful input and I highly recomend checking out those folks for any future dist needs..

Is your Check Engine Light on? Check for trouble codes by jumping the blue service check connector on under the passenger side dash. There should be instructions in the DIY sticky above.

Any trouble code(s) may help narrow the problem.

When it stalls, can you restart it right away or do you have to let it cool down?
