Default 93 accord rear brakes

i have a 93 accord with rear disc brakes and the bolts that screw into the slide pins are siezed and i was wondering if cutting off the head of the bolt would let me get the caliper off to do the brakes.

If I'm understanding you correctly then yes cutting of the head of the bolt would allow you to swing it up/out of the way.... however, then you're stuck with a stud in your brakes that is siezed and you'll probably have to replace the caliper, have you been soaking it in WD-40 or some sort of anti-seize? Have you tried an impact wrench on it?

Kroil or PB Blaster works better than WD40.

Are the slide pins separate from the bolts? On my '98, if you cut off the bolt head, that IS the slide pin & it's still stuck in there.

on the 93 the rear caliper bolt screws into the slide pin so if i cut the head off the bolt i should be able to take the caliper off the just pull out the slide pin with pliers. i was just looking to see if anyone can confirm this

The only problem I can think of is if the slide pin itself is seized in the caliper bracket.

After you cut off the bolt head, you'll have to push the slide pin IN so the caliper isn't stuck on the remaining piece of the bolt.
