Default 93 EX Transmission Probs

I have a 1993 4-Speed auto Accord EX and it has the weirdest transmission trouble I've ever seen. At first, my car wouldn't go into anything other then drive, no matter if I put it in drive, neutral, park or anything. It will shut off in any gear as well. After letting it idle for awhile it decides that is will actually park in park and neutral. Neutral becomes park and park FINALLY becomes park. It still doesn't go in reverse. At first I thought it was something wrong with the linkage cables but now I'm thinking otherwhise. Please help, I don't have the money at the moment to go out and get a new transmission and all that jazz yet.

No D4 light, haven't checked the codes (don't know how exactly) and transmission fluid is full.

Codes are pretty easy to get. All you need is a thin paperclip to short a brown 2-pin connector below the glove box.

Here is a good set of instructions: http://www.dhost.info/accordinfo/howto/cel.html

You will count either the D4 or the S light on the dash. You can count the check engine light to identify any engine codes as well.
