That all depends on if your likeing your car.
It is worth it if you do.
If your a gal, have a man call around to 4 or 5 repair shops to check on prices because as we all know, they take advantage of people. That called an interferance belt I believe to be what you were refering to.
Also put in your engine size. Tires are just another shopping experience, do the same thing with the shopping..make sure you get the tire size off all 4 tires to make sure you have one size only.

It's a timing belt and if it breaks, it can damage the engine ($$$). Your Accord has what is called an interference engine. Here is a good explanation:

The costs to replace a timing belt, water pump, and oil seals generally runs about $400 - $700. The water pump and certain oil seals are usually replaced at the same time, as access is there when removing the timing belt and if those fail later, you would roughly be paying for the same labor at least twice. If the water pump and oil seals are done at the time of the timing belt change, you are mainly paying for the parts of the water pump and oil seals and not much additional labor costs.

141K miles on a '93 is very low mileage. The car is definately a keeper. I had my water pump and timing belt replaced on my 2000 Accord 4 cylinder at the Honda dealership for under $400. earlier this year. Tires are normal wear and tear. Go to tirerack.com and have them installed at WalMart.
yes, Timing Belt. I believe on those engines its recommended to replace the water pump at the same time. I've had a couple Accords that I put that $$ into and it almost paid for itself when I went to sell them. a VERY big selling point. tell a potential buyer that 'yes, I've had the Timing Belt replaced recently' and show them your bill.
my last Accord I had the belt replaced on, I had it done twice, once at 90K and again at 180K. sold it at 190,000 miles and the new owner was thrilled to death I had already done that 'for them'.

Will it last? Last fall a news item about a Maine insurance adjuster who ran his '93 Accord to one million miles;
Honda appreciated that so much that they gave him a new Accord.
My son's '93 has ~240,000 on it.
