94 Accord Stumbles, Runs Terrible
Actually, I'm skeptical it's fuel pressure. I was quoting the shop manual about the #1 reason for poor performance.
Once car goes to closed loop control during warmup, it is possible for a number of parts to cause poor performance. If they are grossly out of spec, the ECU usually catches the problem and sets a code, but it could be slow or off-spec, and still not set a code. My chief suspect for this sneaky failure is the O2 sensor. They are known to get "slow" and cause poor performance. If you've got a lot of mileage on the O2 sensor, it might be worth changing before replacing fuel pump, particularly w/o a fuel pressure check. Fuel pump replacement is a fairly tedious diy or expensive shop job.
good luck

I read this somewhere else and did unplug the sensor, no change...not sure if that would do anything anyways.

Update:
Well I havent had time to mess with it until yesterday. I started it up cold, after sitting several days, and it was very hard to start, and once it did, bogging down like crazy, was hard to even move it. This is new. Got the ether can back out, did the ether trick again, and that cured the bogging (as long as I was spraying ether lol) so I bought a fuel pump for it and thats going in later today....wish me luck lol

Good luck. I think I would have thrown a fuel filter on first, but I can understand the frustration you are facing. Might as well do it all at once I guess. Fuel pumps go out over time anyway I guess...
Let us know how it turns out!

I replaced the fuel pump today. A few cusswords for some rusty bolts, and about 2.5 hours, and she runs great! Took it for a long test drive to make sure. Runs like a top.
I tried to replace the fuel filter, but could not get the lower line off, and was afraid I was going to break it, so I let that go for now. Ill have to get some metric crows foot wrenches and soak it in PB blast for a while. Honda really picked a great spot for it, lol.....I'll tackle that later.
Thanks for all your help guys!!!

Ive got a set of standard ones from Matco. They work pretty good on tubing, just like a flare wrench would. I'll have to scour ebay for a metric set from Matco or Snap on.
