Question was should a DTC have been set due to low compression and missing. The answer is no. OBD1 does not have cylinder miss detection or excess fuel in exhaust detection as does the OBD2 systems. Beginning in 1996, OBD2 provided these features in Accords.

Have you decided to replace or rebuild engine?

good luck

I'm thinking the engine rebuild. It'll take a little more time, but I think in the end it'll be worth it in the long run. I think the hardest part for me will be all of the electrical stuff, but one step at a time!

Thank you all again for your help. It is much appreciated!

Would this be the best bet? I'd rather just get everything instead of purchasing everything separately.

Looks ok.

You might want to get the old engine out and inspect things to be sure you don't have to get over size rings/pistons.....or anything else.
