Hello everyone, I have a 94 4cyl 5mt that's been experiencing hard starts a a misfire from idle to about 22-2300 rpm. So far i have tried a new coil, used ignitor, checked fuel pressure,cleaned the iac valve,cleaned the egr passages, plugs and and wires were replaced about 10k miles ago. At this point i don't know what else to check. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

 

Is the check engine light turning on while driving? Have you checked for engine/transmission codes?

The RPM range is typical for an EGR issue. You cleaned the ports on top, but did you clean the top half of the plate? Check the vacuum hose going from the EGR valve to the vacuum controls on the driver's side of the engine bay.

 

Yes I checked for codes and there isn't any stored. I cleaned the plate also
