94accord window problem
I have a 4dr 94 accord. The two passenger windows work but the driver doors don't. I have replaced the switch with one I saw working but nothing. when I jump power straight from the battery to the motor connector, it works, and the same for the back door. What could it be????[&:]

RE: 94accord window problem
the black box is the door lock controller, it might control the windows, but im pretty sure it doesnt. Assuming your talking about the one in the drivers door...
Check your fuses, each window is on a seperate fuse in the under-the-hood fuse box. 20A, if i remember correctly. Also, you cant just directly connect up the motor to the battery, it actually Fries fuses very easily. I once jumped a single window motor and blew out 3 of the window fuses and the power mirror fuse. So check your fuses, and DONT directly connect the motor to the +/- again.

If you disconnect the motor connector and isolate it from the cars harness and hotwire it, there should be no issue correct. Is this the way it was tested or was it jumpered with the connector still hooked up (backprobed), I would not backprobe either.

RE: 94accord window problem/ heater
thank you all for the advise, it was just the fuse. Now, there is no heat. the dash control for outside and inside air stays lit on the outside air. when I push it to switch to inside air, you hear the system switching but when you let go the button, it goes back to outside air.[:@]

RE: 94accord window problem/ heater
You will need another control head, or go down and disconnect the motor and set the door manually, or disassemble the control unit and move the broken button to a different location. Can you post some Pics if you do any of these things for a huge AC Turoial I am working on, it would be a big help.
