Default 95 Accord A/C LOW IDLE

New to the forum and need some help. I have a 95 Accord with a 2.2 non V-tec with auto trans, Car runs, drives and idles very smooth except for when i turn on the A/C, the idle drops about 300 rpm and starts to vibrate a little but clears up fine if i press on the throttle to bring the idle up. ( but the A/C cools fine). Idles very smooth at 750-800 with A/C off.
Anyone had this problem? Would this be controled by the IAC? if so can i cleen it, carbon? or is it all electronic?
Thanks in advance!

probably if you just turn up the idle a little it will be fine. the screw is on the top of the throttle body

Thanks for a quik reply, however i think That would be a temp fix, the computer/ECM will set the idle back down in time. Something is suposed to increase the idle when the A/C is turned on, i'm just not sure what?

The idle air control valve (IACV) is supposed to hold the idle when the AC engages. That's also what the ECU will use to bring the idle back where it should be. The IACV is on the back of the intake manifold. But it works best if the base idle is set correctly.

You should set your base idle, the procedure goes something like this:

1. Warm up the engine.
2. Turn off all accessories & loads.
3. Unplug the electrical plug of the IACV.
4. Adjust idle screw for **??** RPM.
5. Turn off engine.
6. Reset ECU.
7. Start engine & let it run for 10(?) minutes without touching the gas pedal.

*Find a repair manual for YOUR YEAR because in step 4 you're NOT setting the normal operating idle speed. For example my '95 Integra you were supposed to set 450 to 500 rpm. Then after you plug it back in & reset the ECU, the idle goes back to 750 where it belongs. I don't know whether 500 is the correct setting for a '95 Accord.
