The video didn't show that there are two screws down low between the seats and the center console that hold the center console sides in place. It's a very tight fit in that space and I've used one of the small ratcheting combo flat blade/phillips screwdrivers to get in the space (the metal one which has the handle at a 90 degree angle to the blades). His must have been removed already since it popped up so easily and I think I can see the hole at the 1:45 mark on the side.
