I was cruising along in my 95 Honda accord when overdrive sputtered a few times and then overdrive acted like neutral. It shifts from 1-3rdfine but only the engine revs up when it gets to 4th.

It’s got nearly 200,000 on it and I bought it used. It has a salvaged title and a v-tec, which leads me to believe it, has been swapped.

Are their things I could check before I call it a bad tranny? Silenoids etc?The car is in good shape other wise.

How is the transmission fluid? Honda fluid or some other kind? ATF level OK? Clean or dirty?
