Default 95 EX Front windows go up too slow

I was wondering if anyone knows how to adjust, or knows a cure for the front windows slow going up. I replaced the passenger side motor assembly but it still too slow and at times they stop going up. Rear windows seem to go up faster.
is this a power problem, switch or a track. Any help is greatly apreciated

Get some silicone spray. Lower the window glass and spray liberally in the window channel run...That is the track that the window glass rides in.

What happens is as that rubber window channel run weatherstrip ages and deteriorates, it gets a sticky film on it.

Again, apply silicon spray heavily to the tracks, but do this with the doors open, because the extra silcon willdrain out the holes in the bottom of the door panel.

Just spray the vertical channel runs and this should remedy your issue. (see photos). After spraying, run the glass up and down in the channel a few times and you should be able to tell a difference.

Do this every few months to reduce stress on the window motor and especially the cable drive system in the window regulator.

Cleaning the window tracks with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol, followed by the silicon lubricant would last longer, but obviously requires more time and effort.

Is that you in the pics, Ed? lol.

Yes it is.....And the Accord and I have the number 215,000 in common. Of course the 215,000 has to be divided by 1000 for me.

I have the same problem as the initial poster on my 97 SE. I've taken the doors off and saturated every track and channel that window even comes close to touching. The rear windows are fine, the front ones barely crawl up and sometimes stop halfway up or down. I have 180K on my car so I wonder if the front window motors are just dead? I only need the drivers side to open as it's just a commuter car really. I hate having to get out of my car to get my starbucks with a perfectly good drive thru mocking me. SO if the above doesn't work, whats my next option? I can't find how to replace the window motor in the DIY section and the search isn't working.

Ed, you look like my old gym teacher.

tlhfirelion: try taking off the door panel and adjusting the window motor, it may have come out of alignment and be pressing the glass tightly against the window channel.

In the DIY section, open up acc 5th gen... thread and go to dhost link. The shop manual for a 5th gen accord is split into chapters. The body pdf will have the window adjustment procedure in there.
