Default 96 Accord 5 speed -Front Axle Is Bad...

The passenger side axle is making noise when driving.I even took it to a shop and they validated it was bad.Im going to replace the hub bearing unit while Im at it there as well.

What Parts brand of axle is reliable to use?Im looking at ebay and a bunch of local stores. Are the ones from autozone or advance,or Napa any good?Or run away?

They are remans tho,not new.Hard to find new units on ebay though, they all have the left side, the right side, not very common.

Will not buy a salvage yard unit, most have been in bad wrecks, rather not take a chance to save 20 bucks or so.

Just wanted advice what parts were ok and what you may have used.

Thanks!

O'Reilly Auto Parts had new ones that were called master select pro which were new CV joints.

They were about the same price as the re-manufactured ones and I was happy with the quality and build of them.

I had rebuilt ones go bad in a short period of time (less than a year if I recall correctly).

Thanks for the reply!
I live in a small town with a few common chain parts stores, and the next city is 30 miles away..I do not even know if we have an O'reillys there.I have been hesitant using reman parts from chains like autozone, advance and etc.Been there, done that years ago, dont care for their crap.

Will check it out though and see whats out there. Thanks again for any info!

Dang, the nearest O'reillys is over 80 miles away...not gonna mess with that,in case of warranty returns or etc.

Anyone know if the STANDARD parts name brand is any good? The store down the street from me sells that stuff...they are a little pricey but I can walk there if needed.
