also when i had the cel checked i know i said they said it was the o2 sensor the actual code i believe was p0141, but that only explains the cel and not the abs light coming on at the exact same time.

Default Update: Problem solved

So, had a very stressful and interesting day, after the cel and abs lights came on at the same time and then the alt failed on top of that i went and replaced the alt this morning and everything seemed to be ok with the exception of the cel and abs. drove to a doctors appointment and after leaving i was headed to parts store to turn in the core when i suddenly end up on the side of the road with a dead car and all the same problems again. charged the battery via jumper cables and limped it to the parts store. come to find out they had sold me a bad alt. Got the car to the house and took the bad part to another store location where they traded it for another. Had it tested before i left and it to was bad. went to a third store location and finally found a good part. after replacing it not only did all the symptoms disappear but the cel and abs have also gone away as a result.

Dang, beat me to it.......a low charge from the alt, bad connection at the battery can/will/does cause the ABS to come on.

Personally I would clear the codes, they store in the ECU. Remeber what they were just in case they come back.
