Default 96 accord ex clutch problems

i have a 96 accord with a vtec engine and a manual transmission and i have a problem with the clutch. over the past few weeks 2nd gear would grind if i shifted to fast and now the clutch pedal goes to the floor and stays there. im stumped and would appreciate any advice i can get. thanks.

Clutch is hydraulic and it's likely either master cylinder or slave cylinder has failed. You will need to inspect slave cylinder (pull boot and check for leakage) and inspect master cylinder for leakage.

I replaced the master cylinder today and slave cylinder is new. Could it be anything else? Thanks

Yes, system must be bled correctly to remove air. Usually pump/release bleeding will eliminate air. Some pump fluild from slave to master to push air out the way it wants to go,..up.
