Default 96 Accord LX Door Barely Latches

For the last six months or so my 96 Accord 4 door LX drivers side door has not been latching all the way. It seems as though something is not letting the door finish latching. During heavy rains the water starts to drip inside. I shut the door very hard, it still has some give, locks just fine and doesn't open with a push.

Idid replacethe door latch and lock actuator assembly last week. Mainly, to fix the locks but I was hoping it would also fix the latching problem. Unfortunately, it didn't. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

it might be the door striker adjusted too far outward..

loosen up the 2 phillip scrwes on the door striker, push the striker a bit more toward the inside of the car, retighten the screws and try it ..
