Unhappy 99 accord 3.0 v6 vtec auto - running rich, no power, barely idling, engine shakes....

so i'm driving yesterday, car running fine all day, and i suddenly starts to lose acceleration power. i pull to the side of the road where my car idles but sounds like it wants to die and then finally gives out and dies. so i think maybe its just out of gas. i run to the gas station to get some gas, filled up my tank with a couple gallons and i proceed to start the car. the car starts but with poor idling, sputtering, engine shakes violently and when i hit the gas and release the engine dies and sounds like its getting no power. i had it towed to a local pep boys and they've had the car all day, running diagnostics tests and still haven't come up with what exactly the problem is. so i'm out of transportation for the next 3 days so they can figure it out. if anyone has had this problem or has a possible solution, please help! thanks ahead of time
