P0141 Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Secondary HO2S) (Sensor 2) Heater Circuit Malfunction

This is the code that came up when I got Autozone to scan my car today.
If I just replace the whole thing will it correct the problem or is it something else that needs to be done

 

That code is for the second O2 sensor that is bolted into the catalytic converter. That sensor only monitors the catalytic converter for emissions, so it will not cause the car to run poorly.

If you unplug that sensor and test the resistance across pins 3 and 4 (the two pins opposite side of the clip that locks it to the connector), the resistance should be 10-40 ohms. Those two pins should have the same wire color. If the circuit is open, then replace the sensor.
