i have a 97 accord LX with auto trans. I have had the car for about 2 or 3 months now and have had some slight tranny issues. The tranny seems to want to downshift quite often when i slow down to like turn onto another road or something around 15-25 mph. When it downshifts like this my foot is on the gas and the RPMs shoot up to like 3500-4000 and seems like it slips a bit. I just changed the tranny fluid with 3 qts of Honda ATF. Wonder if my shift solenoids are dirty or bad ?

 

I don't know how badly yours is to shift down on a turn, but I also noticed this on occasion w/ an earlier 90EX I had.

It might help to adjust the throttle feedback cable to the trans correctly (throttle plate and transmission lever arm should begin to move at same time). See 94-97 manual (DIY Online Manuals) for adjustment procedure.
