97 accord lx oil drip

This would suggest either rear balance shaft cover seal, crankshaft pulley, camshaft, forward balance shaft seal is leaking. It will be necessary to remove upper timing belt cover to rule out camshaft and forward balance shaft seal. If those are OK, then lower timing belt cover will need to be removed to determine/repair leak. At this time, you should be prepared to remove timing belt, balance shaft belt, tensioners to access seals.

Accessing the crankshaft seal requires timing belt service procedures; remove crankshaft pulley, lower timng belt cover, timing belt and balance shaft belt, and crankshaft timing belt sprocket. A seal removal tool is helpful to extract the old seal. New seal should be pressed in w/ appropriate seal driver (PVC fitting or pipe section will work). Seal driver should be just slightly larger than seal opening to allow seal drive force to stop when seal aligns flush w/ surface.
Note, you can't be sure where oil leak iis unless you remove crankshaft pulley and lower timing belt cover to perform inspection. Rear balance shaft cover will leak to same drainage point (bottom of lower timng belt cover).

I've lived w/ an oil leak until timing belt was due. Just check oil regularly.
Make sure Crankshaft pulley is not damaged (rubber bushing slipping). This can cause loss of altternator charging and all manner of problems. Place a radial mark on the crankshaft pulle from pulley, across rubber bushing and onto inner drive. Watch to see if marks begin to separate circumferentially. If yes, the bushing is slipping and entire crankshaft pulley should be replaced.
