97 accord le . the windshield wipers will not shut off. i have to unplug the switch in the colum to shut off. intermedient works and so does the speed controls of the switch just no the off position. and ideas ?i did replace the switch. thanks jj

 

The wiper motor is always hot, and ground is supplied through the switches or intermittent wiper relay for intermittent wipers. Since disconnecting at column disables, this suggest either a problem in switches or column connector (short). W/ wiper switch in OFF position ground should not be passed to the Blu/Yel (hi spd) or Blu (lo spd) wires. If one or both show ground w/ switch off, then wiring or connector fault is your problem.

You need a manual and wiring diagram to diagnose this problem. Check Online Manuals links in DIY forum for download manuals (94-97 Accord).
