The wiper controls on my steering column are broken. I can get them to work if I hold it just right but this will surely be a problem in heavy rain.
How hard is it to replace this and how do I do it?

 

Pretty easy.

1. Remove driver side lower plastic dash cover. First open the coin tray and pull out. Behind the tray is one screw, remove it. The lower dash cover can now be pulled out, it is held in by clips.

2. If there is a metal bolster behind the lower plastic dash cover, remove it by removing 4 bolts.

3. Remove steering wheel column covers, held together by 6 screws at the bottom of cover.

4. Unplug electrical connector to wiper control switch. Remove to 2 screws holding it.

You can buy the part cheaper through ebay or a salvage yard.

 

Thanks...sounds easy enough and the Pull-a-Part up the street has four 96 accords so Im sure one of them has one that will work.
