is there some kind if a TCM in the car??? a transmission control or something????

There is a separate trans control unit (TCU) for the 94/95 accords.

Although the 96/97 accords are the same generation they are the first two years honda had OBD2 systems. Both the ECU and TCU are one unit for the 96/97

But... with the combined PCM, is there a corresponding jumper that he can switch to make it act like a manual tranny ECM?

LOL I just noticed the typo. Does the tranny controller get more desperate if you try to manually shift @ redline?
