Default 98 Accord Brake light problem

Ok, I'm new to the forum and i really appreciate the help. I have a 98 Accord with a V6 and an auto trans. I am having a problem with my brake lights not coming on and my shifter will come out of park, but i have to wiggle and pull the shifter a little bit to get it to go into reverse, I dont have to push down on the brake to press in the button on the shifter. So i can still drive the car. I have looked at some of the threads here that seem to be similar to my problem and the usual answer is the brake light switch or maybe a bad fuse. I have replaced the brake light switch and checked every fuse. There is power going to the brake light switch, but somehow the power is not reaching the brake lights. My question is: is there a certain circuit or relay, on this car, that i am not finding and might be causing the prob? Or is there a bad ground somewhere? Thanks again for any help!

When you say every fuse, that does include the underhood fuse panel.

Have you cehcked for power at the rear tail light sockets.

yeah, ive checked to see if there is power to the wire harness taillight plug in the trunk, but there's nothing. And yes ive checked the underhood fuse panel as well. Im running out of ideas, my next goal is to check if every plug under the dash is getting good contact. who knows, maybe an ABS plug has come loose and im just missing it.

Unplug the electrical connector to the brake switch. How many pins are on the switch? What are the wire colors?

If only two pins, one should have 12V to known body ground with the key in the II position.
