Default 98 Accord Trouble after cleaning Throttle Body

Hi,

I am having some difficulty with my 1998 accord 2 door ex. I cleaned the throttle body (left on the car), sprayed and wiped with carburetor cleaner. I made sure not use too much and wiped and cleaned everything. Everything was reattached, and I started the car. The car idled pretty rough and the CEL began to blink. The car ran for about 5 minutes, then I reset the CEL. Then ran it for another couple minutes. The code reads P0301(71 Misfire Cyl. 1 Or Random Misfire). Any suggestions on how to fix this? Also filled anti-freeze while I was at it

This is a 4 cylinder, correct?

Although you didn't stated any trouble code directly related to the throttle position sensor, did you remove the connectors for the TPS and MAP sensor?

Sometimes people inadvertently switch them. I believe the MAP sensor connector is gray and the TPS sensor connector is blue.

Correct, this is a 4 cylinder, and I did remove the connectors and reattached. The connectors were in the right position

first thing, you shouldn't use carb cleaner on a FI car, they make throttle body cleaner specifically for that purpose. start by pulling the plugs and checking them out, replace them while your at it. report back.
