It's an auto tranny...Shifter in P and have tried N...When I turn key all lights come on as usual but it won't turn over. When I jump solenoid it starts and runs with the key in the on position...This is really bugging me ....Any help out there...Thanks....

 

The starter cut out relay coil [under dash] is grounded thru the safety switch [under center console]at the gear selector switch.

It's a crying shame the webmasters of this forum have dis-allowed links and pictures as I'm fairly sure the schematic would be a great help to you.

 

Is there any "Mickey mouse" fix for that???

 

EDIT: Wow I totally read the post wrong and told you to fix something for a different problem, sorry 'bout that.

 

This problem turned out to be carbon build up in the starter motor...Cleaned it up and its working fine...Thanks...

Links & pictures also depend on howYOUR computer is setup. Firewall & pop-up settings, corporate firewalls, & often some other stuff. Lack of pictures isnt always caused bythe HAF site.
