91 Accord does not turnover
Hello fellow Honda folks,
This is perplexing, because it was running and driving fine when it was parked last. Next attempt at a cold start, resulted with what sounded like the crankshaft making one rotation, followed by a loud metal on metal bang. Immediately turned key off, made two more attempts to start and the results were as if the starter was trying to turn a frozen motor (a small grunt). Replaced the starter (without bench testing), fresh charge on battery (100%), only to repeat all of the above symptoms. I fear the worst, but am unsure of my next troubleshooting step. Any thoughts out there? Thank you for any input.

This sounds interesting......
Pull the upper timing belt cover. First is the belt there? Next, leave the spark plugs out, stick a 19mm socket on the crank bolt and see if you can spin the motor (counter clockwise).
That will get us started for now.
