98 accord wont rev over 2500rpm

98 accord wont rev over 2500rpm

R&R'd engine to replace clutch, reinstalled, started immediately, idles rough, and wont rev over 2500rpm. No codes or check engine light. Answers or ideas on how to fix?

Check your wiring harness connections?

- CKP/TDC sensor connection is down low on the timing cover - did you forget that one?
- Two sensors (TPS & one other?) have same plug - common mistake is to swap those wires.

The TPS and MAP sensor on the TB are the same size and shape. What color are the three wires that are plugged into the TPS - Should be GRN/BLK, RED/BLK and YEL/BLU
