Question 2013 Accord EXL Do Over (or over do)

Just brought home the aforementioned vehicle, very nice. Second Honda with an '09 Fit I "cash-for-clunkered" for. If you had the chance to do one or two things over after buying a new Honda, what would you do? Maintenance, accessories, treatments, etc. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks, CJ

Default if i could

I would tell Honda to not dumb down the BT/wireless phone software to disable selection of any phone contacts to dial, as my 09 Accord did. I guess more and more software is designed for the 25% of Americans that can't tie their own shoes and we are thus stuck with dumbed down systems. The "thinking" apparently was that it was a driving distraction as opposed to the other 100o things you can do while driving that are also distracting but apparently OK. It also precludes my wife from using the contact list when a passenger and the vehicle is in motion. Way to go Honda.

Congratulations on the new car, and welcome.

My only advice? Follow the maintenance schedule religiously (seconding what WheelBroker said) and also, make sure that you get the exact car you want, down to the color of the interior. You're going to be having the car for a while probably- you don't want to come to hate your vehicle choice.
