Default '98 Honda Accord - rough idling

My '98 Honda accord just started idling very rough. The car vibrates and almost feels like the engine is going to quit.

Any advice on why this just started happening would be great.

When was the last time you did a tune-up (spark plugs, dist. cap, dist. rotor, air filter)?

Bad news. Just had a diagnostics done ($100), and they found that cyl #3 has zero compression and suspect it is burned.

They gave me a couple options: replace engine, or try and replace valve #3, which they say is risky on a high millage car (284K).

Time for a new car? I just paid this one off!

Repair vs new/used car depends on your finances.

You can get a quote for a used engine + installation. Compare that vs the car payment you will have.

car-part.com will list prices of used engines and you can search by distance.

Any thing to pay special attention to if I decide to continue driving the car on 3 cylinders?
