Default '99 Accord clutch

I've always had standard trans Accords. The standards always seemed bullet proof, and I like to shift. The clutches on my cars last a long time. We have a '93 Accord with 293k miles that still has the original clutch. Anyway, when we bought our '99 last year the clutch seemed a little notchy, if that's a word, and it groans a little. Not what I'm used to with a Honda. So after a year and 20k miles and not getting better, I start looking around online and find the Honda update about replacing the nylon slave and master cylinders with the metal ones. I can find the cylinders aftermarket for not too many $$$ (<$50), but the line has to be replaced too and that is dealer only? and crazy expensive (>$200). Is there something I don't know or haven't found? Or is my wallet SOL.

What update are you referring to? I never heard someone mention it on here.

It has been discussed some on this board.

I was hoping I could find a cheaper alternative.
