99' Accord EX 2.3L Fuel Filter Location...In-line, Tank or Both
Today using AutoZone online I looked up a fuel filter for my 99' Accord 2.3L EX VTEC. The component location link stated it was under the hood, drivers side, rear of the strut mount & to the rear of the compartment. I search this area...didn't find the filter. Another site stated there is no in-line filter. The only "filter" is a fuel strainer screen in the tank. Can someone set the record straight? Has anyone replaced this screen? Difficult?

it is the screen filter inside the tank.. no need to replace, they are SUPPOSED to be a lifetime filter

I would much rather have a fuel filter than a "lifetime" fuel screen in the gas tank. Fuel filters are normally changed every year, but Honda has mastered the fuel filtering process to eliminate this maintenance? Just curious if anyone has ever inspected one of these "lifetime" fuel screens on a vehicle with 100,000+ miles on it.
