99 Accord EX V6 Idle Problems
Hi all,
I'm new to the board and as stated in the subject of this message, I have a 1999 Accord EX V6. I recently purchased a new vehicle and was planning on selling the Accord. The car sat in my driveway for 3, possibly 4 weeks. It wasn't started during that time. I went out to start it the other day and it took a while to start. Once started, the idle was high (1100). After about 15 seconds, the idle began rythmically fluctuating between 1100 and 2100 rpm's. I took the car out and drove it for 10-15 minutes and when in gear I could maintain 40 mph without touching the gas pedal. Once home I put it back in park and it kept going up and down. Prior to sitting for a few weeks, this car had no issues what so ever. Anybody have any help for me?
Thanks much!

RE: 99 Accord EX V6 Idle Problems
Clean the throttle body and wipe it all out, use spray cleaner, a soft brush and a rag, try to collect as much liquid as possible, some cleaners tend to foul out the plugs, get the back side of the butterfly valve, (the throttle plate), hold the throttle wide open and get in there as best as you can. Let us know if the idle still fluxuates after that, there are many items that cause this issue.
