Default 99 Accord LX Radiator Fan Motor

Hi everyone - I have a 99 Accord LX 4cyl 4dr. I am in need of a new radiator fan motor, but am having a hard time figuring out which after-market motor will work for my car. There seem to be several different types. Any help is greatly appreciated because I would like to order one today.

Thanks so much!

I should add that my confusion comes with the fact that I am finding there are radiator fan motors that are Nippondenso? and Mitsuba? Do they all fit my car?

Are you shure the fan is bad? did you put power and gnd. to it to see if it worked? If it is bad I would go to a pik a part junk yard with your old one and get a replacement Thay go bad but not to often

These motors wear out as the carbon brushes wear and brushes are not a replaceable component. A used motor may/may not last. If you go w/ a used part, try to find one from a low mileage (< 100K) donor.

New replacement aftermarket motors are readily available from ebay, rockauto, etc at reasonable prices. Of course, you can also purchase OEM motors from Honda.

Motors were probabably originally made by both Nippodenso and Mitsuba. Buy a motor for radiator fan replacement and you'll be fine.

good luck

Thanks everyone. My husband did test the motor to be sure it was bad and then, just for fun, he actually took it apart and said it was all beat up on the inside. So, we had checked with all the local salvage yards, but couldn't find a 99 Accord in any of them. So, we ordered this one last night.

Hope it works. Thanks for all your help!

Hi guys - Yes, we are sure the motor is bad. My husband tested it and then, once he knew it was bad, he took it apart just for fun and said it was all beat up on the inside. So, we ordered one from go-part dot com last night... their part number H03115103 for $46.95. Shipping is going to take 5 days, but once it finally gets here, we hope it's the right one. Thanks for all your help guys!

H03115103 looks like a direct replacement with the fan motor, shroud, and blade assembly. So, that should be no problem.

I changed just the motor before. The only modification I had to make was enlarging the mounting holes on the shroud, so that the motor mounting bolts could fit through. Additionally, I had to splice the replacement motor wires onto the original motor electrical plug connector. -- Your replacement motor/shroud/blade assembly shouldn't need any modification.
