The abs and srs lights turning on means there is a problem detected. The abs light is likely due to the new CV joint installation. Did the new CV joint have ribs on the metal clip so the abs sensor can detect wheel movement?

The SRS light tuned on means the SRS computer detected a problem.

You should get the code(s) scanned to figure out the problem.

The ABS and SRS codes may be something only a dealership can scan. An independent shop that specializes in Hondas/foreign cars may be able to scan for codes as well.

Parts stores will scan codes for free, and they might be able to scan those codes. It is worth a shot to see if they can get the codes.

Not sure about 99 model, but on earlier models the ABS code/s could be retrieved by shorting the service check connector under the glove box. The ABS light will flash the codes; Long start flash means system OK, then long flashes + short flashes for codes (3-1) LLL-s.

Use google to search for "RSX SRS code". You should find info to read codes and reset SRS for many Honda/Acura products.

good luck
