If you have 12V to the clutch, the clutch plate gap is likely excessive or clutch coil is open. Both can be repaire (w/ some difficulty) w/o discharging the system.

good luck
not to hijack your thread crispin, my appoligies ,for Texas Honda having a strange issue with my fans. would like to know if it is possible that a fault in the ecu could be causing my fans to run without a signal from the coolant temp switches A and B? I'm grasping at straws here after 8 hours of trouble shooting.
thanks

Don't apologize. Don't enter a separate question in another thread. Read posting rules.

Start your own thread w/ your info and description of problem.

Unlikely an ECU fault, but could be a fault in the cooling system timer (forget correct name).

good luck
