It was the blower transistor after all. After having checked fuses, blower motor, dash potentiometer the last thing had to be the blower transistor and it was. Got a new one at Advanced Auto Part for $65. I plug the new one on the parking of Advance Auto Part and bingo! the blower worked again. I did not put the transistor back in it little space under the dashboard and left it hanging until I was back home. When I was home the transistor was really hot and I had to wait for it to cool down before to place it back in its space. No wonder why these things fail after some time The radiator on the blower transistor is too small IMO.
Thanks a lot James and others.
