Default AC not working 1994 Honda Accord lx

The AC on my 1994 Honda Accord isn't working. The system is charged and doesn't leak. When I put the AC on the clutch engages, and both fans work. I've heard something about the heater door not closing? Where is this door or switch located? Thanks in advance

so what kind of air is blowing out the vents? hot, warm, ambient? does the vapor line under the hood get cold and sweat? (the bigger of the two)

The air is pretty much ambient maybe a little cooler than outside. As for the lines Ill check but I don't think that they are.

if the clutch is engaging then you have some refrigerant in the system. you need to get some gauges hooked up and find out what the high and low side pressures are. may just need a charge best case, shot compressor worst case...do this first before messing around under the dash.

what's the high side? can't accurately gauge the health of a system without both gauges hooked up.

As the Dr has said it would be nice to know the high side....please check.

The adjustment that I think you speak of is the blend door adjustment. A few things you can do first, have a friend turn the temp **** from hot to cold and back - known that the **** shaft breaks on these and won't actually do anything, so pull it and check the **** - while you look at the heater control valve at the firewall behind the throttle body - is it moving?

Until you can get us the high side reading...PS knowing the outside temp's when you do this might help as well....there are one or two more "quick checks" I can throw out.
