Default AC weak out of side vents ‘11 Accord (non-dual zone!)

The ac in my car blows cold enough but the stream of air is very weak from both side vents, and yes they are both open. This is a basic system without dual zone climate control. The center vents blow as they should. Anybody got any ideas?

Your accord has a self-diagnostic function that doesn't require a scanner. Lets see if you get a code for something in your system.

Turn the ignition switch to lock (0) and then to on (II).

Set fan control dial to off, the temp control dial to max cool, and select the vent mode (the button to the right of max a/c).

Turn the ignition switch to lock (0) and the to on (II).

Press and hold the recirculation control button, then within 10 seconds press and release the defogger/mirror defogger button five times. Release the recirculation control button.

The recirculation indicator will blink twice and perform a self-diagnostic. The blower motor will run at various speeds. When the self diagnostic is finished, the recirculation indicator will blink code(s). Count the quick flashes to get the code #. There is a 3 second pause between codes. Multiple codes will be signaled in numerical order, so count the codes several times.

If the recirculation indicator doesn't blink, then you have no codes.
