Accord 1998 overheating
My accord 1998 is overheating but is not leaking any coolant. When the temperature rises I noticed there isn't anymore coolant in the radiator but the reservoir seems to overflow with coolants. The temperature rises when the car is driven around 20mins. What are the likely cause I hope is not a blown head gasket.I just installed a new transmission in the car. What are signs of blown head gasket. Hoping to hear from the forum soon. Thanks
You'll need to troubleshoot.
Pressure testing the radiator can also identify an external leak in the cooling system which is easier to fix.
Fill up the radiator with the engine cold, with the radiator cap off, start up the engine. If you have a lot of gas bubbling out of the radiator, then you likely have a leak from the combustion chamber. It could be a crack in the cylinder head or the block cylinder, or a failed head gasket.
