Question Accord 2000 Car Alarm is going crazy!

Two days back, when I tried starting my car, it did not start. I am guessing the battery must've gone dead. I am guessing that the car security alarm must've gone off and I did not hear it. So it must've run until the battery went dead. I had to try a number of times before the car started again (used a jump starter, held onto the brake before turning on the ignition etc.)

Today morning, my Honda Accord 2000's security alarm started going crazy by itself. First, it started off every 2 hours and thereafter every 5 mins. I must say that it started raining last night but am not sure that is reason. As a temporary fix, I stopped locking my door so that it can disable the security system but I have no clue on how to fix this problem. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

A weak battery can cause an alarm system to act up. Have the battery tested at a parts store or at a garage.

I took my car to a local mechanic and he said he did not find anything wrong with the alarm. He was saying there could have been some problem with the door and asked me to check back with him if I see the problem again. I will update if he tells me anything. Thanks for the response.
