I had the mainteneance light go on while driving at normal highwayspeeds. i checked to make sure it was not the gas cap causing an emission complaint, but it was not, my mechanic says that ithe codes he read say its a computer problem , possibly reporgramming and the dealer has to perform the work. I heard there was a 8/80 warrantee on the computer if they have to replace it. The dealer confirmed under cetrtain conditions it was covered. What are the conditions? The dealer would not discuss it further on the phone!


Also is this 2001 year Honda more prone to problems. I have had two transmission replaced on it since 2004. It is on its third tranny.

I'm pretty sure that you mean your check engine light right? The maint required light will come on solid every 7200 miles to remind you it is time for service on the car
