Default Accord LX V6 auto with Avital 6501 remote starter

I have the alarm/remote starter Avital 6501 installed on the Accord 2000 LX V6 by Goodguys. It worked fine initially, then there were some problem with it (don't remember what the problem was) but Goodguys went out of business so a friend disconnected the starter kill and rewired it back to original factory configuration. I've tried to reconnect back to the way that the installer did it and the remote start works fine but whenever the car is remotely started, the D4 light will flash constantly and report the code P0758. Starting normally with the key works fine. Also, if starting with the key and holding the key in the crank position a bit longer than normal, then the D4 light also flashes after starting. Have anyone here installed remote starter on Accord 98-02 and run into the same problem?

The remote starter shouldn't cause a transmission error code to pop up.

That code is for the shift solenoid valve B. It could be the wiring, a dirty valve, or an electrical problem with the solenoid. I don't have a 00 V6 shop manual, so you may want to do a quick search for that code to see what others have suggested to do.

Found some posts that suggested that the remote starter causes confusion in the transmission control module because it also monitors the ignition/starter wire for P or N gear selector. However I could not find any solution to the problem.

Question When ?

I wasn't aware that Good Guys went out of business...was that just in your state or all over the USA?

Not sure. Maybe they just closed some stores. The store close to us has been closed several years ago.

What happens if you disconnect the starter kill relay and put it back to factory?

No matter what I did, it always gave me the D4 flashing lights if I start with the remote starter.
