Accord Wagon Transmission Swap
Hello fellow Honda enthusiasts,
hope everyone is having a relaxing day. I just want to start off by saying I'm not by any means a mechanic or an expert on transmissions but I watched my dad rebuild several of them so I know a little about them.
I am working on my 1995 accord ex 2.2 vtec wagon that had a a0ya in it which I swapped for a mpja that I bought from a jdm importer. I was under the impression that they are almost the same unit apart from several brackets. The transmission shifts a little hard but I assume that this is typical for the mpja as its out of a odyssey and they're known for that. My problem now is that my speedometer doesn't work and the drive indicator light(d4) blinks as I'm driving. I must add that I used both of the shaft speed sensors from my old transmission(a0ya). There is a sensor in there that I think is the vss that I don't have a connector to. I tried looking online for a diagram but no luck. Is there any hope for making this transmission work? Should I try putting the original sensors back on? Any input would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
