Accuracy of Oil Reading on Dipstick
New member here. Tried a search but didn't come up with a clear answer, so pardon me if this has already been asked and answered, but I just did an oil and filter change on a 2016 Accord 4 cyl. Added 4 quarts of oil, as per the owners manual, but the oil level on the dipstick now reads high, as if the engine was overfilled. It's only about 1/4 inch above the full mark, so I'm guessing this is ok? It's just strange that using the required amount of oil would result in the dipstick looking like the engine was overfilled.
Appreciate any feedback you can provide.
PS, checked the oil level after driving the car for a bit and the engine was at operating temperature if that matters.

I think slightly over the top of the high mark will be ok. Sometimes the oil level can be hard to see after the engine is running as the dipstick tube can get splashed with oil. You may want to check after the engine sits overnight to see if you are the proper level.
