Question Advice Needed for my: 98' Accord LX V4 VTEC (Auto)

Okay, so I'm not going to stomp into a forum and start ranting about what I'm going to do, and blah blah blah. Instead, I'm looking for some advice as to how to start things up. I've already talked to a few older people in college who really know what they are doing. I'll get into that later. So, the title pretty much sums things up. It's a 1998 Accord V4 VTEC and, unfortunately, automatic. It's the Forest Green color, and literally, in mint condition. Aside from a scratch here and there, I was astounded to see a 98 in such good condition.
Secondly, the transmission just had a transmission overhaul (today in fact). The low end RPM modulator was acting up, and in general the entire transmission needed some help. The O-rings weren't too hot, and etc.
Now I come to my dilemma. I already know that installing a turbo on an automatic is retarded. I understand the linkage of "boost" and your RPM's. So, a turbo on an automatic would be pointless, without an ECU mod or paddle shifters. Therefore, I plan on doing small things to the little 4 banger, such as new rims, CAI (injen), Magnaflow exhaust, and body kit. After that I plan on re-selling it before college hopefully (along with some grad money from parents and grandparents), and buying a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII.
Now, what I'm looking for is someone with a little more knowledge to tell me if I got things wrong here. Installations won't be a problem. Neither will buying most of the parts. I just want to make sure I'm starting off correctly, rather than being half way into something then realizing I'm ****ing up. Haha.
So, feedback would be great. Thank you.
