Default Air bags

I just bought a 00 Accord 4dr 4cyl at an auction that has had the front bags deployed. I got used bags from my local salvage yard along with a control module. The #s on the module irecieved does notmatch the original but i was assured it was compatable???? All the connectors are there and seem to have the same pins.I have worked with air bags for years and i am certified on Ford vehicles. Understandably the Honda dealer says everything has to be replaced. I however have my own opinion on that. This car doesnt have pre-tensioners on the seat belts but does have frt seat side bags. They are also telling me that tthe weight sensor in the pass seat needs to be replaced??? All of the other Honda products ive done like this i am able to just replace bags and module and occasionally a clock spring. The #s on the new module are 77960-s84-A941-M3 and the #s on the deployed module is77960-s84-a930-C1. Any help would be great?

all a different dealer parts dept and give them the part number on the salvage yard srs control unit. ask them to cross reference what cars it belongs to.

i know nothing about a weight sensor on 2000 accords. that came on later accords. civics, fits...

replace the blown bags and srs control unit and see what recodes. there may be an impact sensor or something random left.

Thanks for the help. I will do so. Is there a way that i can without a scan tool read what failurecodes are left?

not that i know of. i've always used the scantool to read codes, however, there have been times on older models where i had to read them manually. the newer models i only know how to clear the srs light using the mes connector.
