Air Filter Install

Air Filter Install
Good Afternoon Everyone, Hope your all doing well.
I installed a new K&N air filter. With these new computerized engines, Do I need
to do anything about resetting the computer to know about the new air filter, I've
read that you should disconnect the Negative battery cable for awhile so that things
reset and the system will adjust to the new air flow. I didn't do it, but thought I'd check
to see if I can get some input on whether or not I should do this.
Thanks for any replys.

RE: Air Filter Install
Another thing since you got a K&N... Check whether you have an air-flow sensor in the airfilter housing (I'm guessing yes). If you do, then it's important you don't over-oil the filter so you don't get oil all over that sensor.

Thanks for the replies. JimBlake, thanks I'll remember that down the road when I clean and re-oil the K & N filter. Deserthonda, No anti-theft stero but thanks for the information. As always, thanks for the information, very much appreciated.
