Airbag impact sensor harness wire
Recently hit a deer and left front side of vehicle was damaged. The wire harness for the impact sensor is cut and I plan on rejoining the wires. The problem is that the two wires inside are identical and don't know which wire goes to which wire. Is there a polarity in the wires or can I just connect any wire together? This person had the same problem and he fixed it but failed to explain whether it mattered which wire was which.

Enclosed is wiring diagram for yrs 03-06. I did not have an 07 manual. The wires could be hooked in reverse w/ no electrical difference.
It is possible to ID which ends match by checking the end connectors either side of breaks to ID the matching pins.
There should be a replacement part harness available.
good luck

Careful messing around with anything Airbag related. It would surely "smart" having it go off in your face as your simply wiping down the inside of your car. I'd be concerned about liability issues also should it go off accidentally or not go off when it should. Everyone will be all over the fact that you replaced something to the system on your own, whether it's your fault or not. It's a cover your own a$$ society we live in today unfortunately.
There is a difference in which wire goes where. Terminal number one of the left front impact sensor is for + to the SRS unit. Terminal number two is for - to the SRS unit.
The wire to terminal 1 can be either RED or BRN.
The wire to terminal 2 can be either BRN/YEL or BRN.
