Default Alarm horn doesn't work after dead battery replacement on 1998 Accord.

Greetings all!!

I have a 1998 honda accord. There is a factory alarm/keyless entry that worked perfectly until yesterday when my battery died completely. I changed the battery today and now the alarm DOES go on (light blinks) but the horn does not "chirp" on the double click for lock and when the alarm is tripped, the lights will flash but no horn.

Any suggestions on how this can be fixed??

Thanks!

Going from memory on this.

I believe there is a re-set procedure that needs to be done after changing the battery. Do you have the owners manual? If not search for a post, not long ago-within a month?- where Redbull-1 posted the procedure....again going from memory.

Default I tried searching the postings,

Hello

I did try searching the postings by redbull - 1 but I could not find the one which describes the reset procedure.

Thanks

Sorry, must have been on another site. I'll look for the owners manual tomorrow at work and see what that says. I think if you reg your car with Honda America's web site you can download the owners manual free????
